Stephen Hawking pays a visit to 'Big Bang Theory'

It's been quite a couple of weeks for Sheldon Cooper.

First, he's visited in a dream by "Spock," and the following week, he meets his idol, Stephen Hawking.

It wasn't totally painless, however. It turned out that Howard was assisting Hawking, and the moment Sheldon got wind of this, he insisted/begged/pleaded that Howard show Hawking one of his research papers.

Sheldon meets Spock on 'The Big Bang Theory'

At long last, Sheldon came face-to-face with Leonard Nimoy... sort of.

Thursday night's episode of "The Big Bang Theory" saw Sheldon debating whether to open the box for a classic "Star Trek" transporter toy, because doing so would decrease its value.

He was visited in a dream by his Mego Spock action figure, voiced of course, by Nimoy. He urged him to open the box because playing with a toy is only logical.

Tell us, Mayim Bialik: What's next for you?

Mayim Bialik is apparently "on a quest to unseat James Franco as Hollywood's reigning renaissance person," as iReporter Andy Clinton points out with his question for the "Big Bang Theory" star.

Bialik, after all, has gone from acting to getting a P.h.D. in neuroscience, only to return to acting once again, with a little writing in between. So what's up next for the actress?

"I'm working on my next book, but I think I may have touched all the areas I need to: Neuroscience, acting, writing....I do a lot of speaking engagements. That's pretty much it," she says.

But then again, there's one other thing she can add to her wide-ranging to-do list: "James Franco and I need to do probably seven projects together - that would be the way to complete the renaissance path I'm on."

'The Big Bang Theory' causes a scene

It was going to be such a fun, geeky weekend, and then it all went horribly awry.

Thursday night's "Big Bang Theory" saw Leonard, Sheldon, Howard and Raj planning to play "Star Wars: The Old Republic" non-stop for 48 hours (as Raj put it, "It's on like Alderaan!"). But Amy informed the group that Sheldon couldn't join them as they had plans to go to her aunt's birthday party.

The writers certainly had fun with a "whip cracking" app, which the guys used to torment Sheldon.

Sheldon runs wild on 'The Big Bang Theory'

What happens when you take the order out of Sheldon? Well, you get chaos, as we saw on Thursday night's "The Big Bang Theory."

Before I go any further, I have to admit there were many LOLs during last week's episode featuring that painting. I hope you enjoyed it too.

On to this week: Like everything else in his life, Sheldon's day is strictly planned out and controlled down to his haircuts. With his regular barber away, he wasn't about to let someone else cut his hair.

Sheldon's idea of vacation on 'Big Bang Theory'

You knew it was going to be bad news when Sheldon was forced to go on vacation from the university on Thursday night's "Big Bang Theory."

Of course, Sheldon couldn't bear to be away for a whole week, so he snuck into the back of Leonard's car. Leonard promptly turned the car around, once he found out (in the midst of singing along with the Black Eyed Peas, something Sheldon couldn't stand to hear).

Then Sheldon decided he could spend his vacation helping Amy out in the lab. He just loved the sound and smells of a lab as part of his vacation (a vacation which is pretty much from his other lab).
