'American Idol' last performances tonightThey better sing it like they mean it. Lauren Alaina and Scotty McCreery have one last chance to impress the judges and "Idol" voters tonight in part one of the season's finale. The pair – shown on Monday with "Idol" producer Simon Fuller, who received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame - have come a long way. FULL POST Last season's 'Idol' winner not invited to finaleDon't look for Lee DeWyze to perform at Wednesday night's "American Idol" finale results show, because the "Idol" winner from last season wasn't invited. Though it's often considered a courtesy to bring back the former winner, DeWyze tweeted that he will not be taking the stage as part of the two-hour event. "Hey guys, no I'm not performing at the Finale," he tweeted. "I wasn't asked to. A lot of questions so I thought I'd fill you in. Talk to you soon." 'American Idol' is a little bit country nowSPOILER ALERT – Tonight's "Idol" blog will reveal who is leaving the competition, so please don't read if you don't want to know. Well, well, well. I'm feeling a little big smug right now. Are you? I called who would be going home out of the Top 3 and I think it was the right decision. Do you? FULL POST Who is heading to the finale on 'American Idol?'SPOILER ALERT – Tonight's "Idol" blog will reveal who is leaving the competition, so please don't read if you don't want to know. 8:55 p.m. – Haley seems pretty cool about it. She says this is only just the beginning. Way to stay positive girl. She goes out singing "Benny and Jets" and changes the lyrics to mention Randy and J-Lo. Cute. The ousted contestants are jamming to her. She gets a big kiss from her daddy and a huge hand from her rumored boyfriend, Casey Abrams. 8:54 p.m. - Haley is headed home, and I think she knew. You could see it on her face. FULL POST 'You Oughta Know' tonight who leaves 'Idol'Guess who I think is going home? Yep. Haley Reinhart. While it's been a season of shockers so far, I went back and watched the performances from Wednesday night again and that last one from Haley did it for me. Watching her struggle to hit the low notes on "You Oughta Know," especially after I reflected on Crystal Bowersox's rendition last season with Alanis Morissette during the finale, made me think it's her turn to go. FULL POST 'Idol' Top 3 'in it to win it'I don't know about you, but I don't think I need to ever hear that phrase again. I do believe that this is going to be one of the closest "Idol" Top 3 we have ever had. For the most part, really strong performances from super-talented contestants tonight. After the final performance, I think Haley will be out tomorrow night, but I've been wrong before. Your thoughts? |
