Beware of the baked goods at Paula Abdul's house. That's the lesson Kara DioGuardi learned several years ago after a simple case of the munchies landed her in the hospital.
During a recent appearance on "Lopez Tonight," DioGuardi said she was house-sitting for a vacationing Abdul and decided to have a snack. "The maid at the time found these brownies in the freezer," she recalled. "She took them out, put them in the refrigerator, and I hadn't really eaten much that night... They were these little nuggets, little, you know? I take six, not a lot."
Six hours later, "I was like, 'Hey, what’s going on?'" remembered the host of Bravo's upcoming "Platinum Hit." "I fell out of bed, on the floor and stumbled down stairs... and the ambulance comes, and this guy is like, 'This b— is high as a kite!"'

Kris Allen fans hoping to purchase posters of the "American Idol" champ posing shirtless are going to be sorely disappointed. The singer is still smarting from topless poolside photographs of him that were recently splashed all over the Internet.
"I was pretty upset. It was like, 'Seriously?' " a mortified Allen told MTV News of the pictures, which were snapped in April as he relaxed before a Paradise Island gig in the Bahamas. "I’m pasty," says Allen. "It was rough!"
Thankfully, he wasn’t alone – Allen's younger brother Daniel and band mate Cale Mills also appeared in the skin pics.

Calling all couch potatoes: Our days of darkness are over.
Finally, along with the new year, comes some watchable television in 2010. Plenty of your favorite shows will be coming back in January so there's no need to venture out into the cold to find alternative entertainment.
Here’s a look at some of the big premieres over the next month.
January 4 – “The Bachelor” – Everyone’s favorite reality dating show returns starring hunky pilot Jake Pavelka and 25 eligible (desperate?) women.
January 5 – “The Biggest Loser” (NBC) – This is being billed as the biggest season of the weight loss competition ever, since it features the heaviest contestant yet, Michael Ventrella, a 30-year-old deejay from Chicago, Illinois, who weighs 526 lbs. The couples edition of the show features 11 teams of two competing for the season 9 crown.
January 6 – “Nip/Tuck (FX) – The plastic surgery drama is preparing to make its final facelifts as the show kicks off its last episodes.
January 10 – “Big Love” (HBO) – This will be the last season on the multi-marriage drama for actress Amanda Seyfried, who plans to leave to pursue her burgeoning movie career at the end of the fourth season. Oscar-winning actress Sissy Spacek joins the cast as a powerful Washington, D.C., lobbyist.
January 14 – “Fringe” (Fox) The paranormal crime series will return for four weeks before going on hiatus until April.
January 12 – “American Idol” (Fox) – Get ready for a whole new Idol, sans Paula and with the addition of Ellen DeGeneres (yay!). This could just be cantankerous judge Simon Cowell’s last year before jumping ship to start yet another reality singing franchise, so savor these moments while you can.
January 17 – “24” (Fox) – Jack Bauer is back, and if history is any indication it is going to be a pretty long day. Watch out, Big Apple; this time the drama is set in NYC.
January 31 – Fox's lovable animation lineup of "American Dad," "The Cleveland Show," "Family Guy" and "The Simpsons" return.
