Does Brand have anything to do with Katy Perry's Grammys song?Katy Perry's "Part of Me" performance was in good company at Sunday's Grammys, as she wasn't the only one singing of broken hearts and relationships gone wrong. Adele, the current queen of lovelorn pop songs, also took the stage to croon about getting played to the beat after handing her heart over to a paramour. It's possible that Perry's fiery performance of her new single was just keeping in line with that theme, or perhaps she was singing generally of the emotions one has after a break-up. Or, as some have questioned, maybe those lyrics were inspired by recent events in her personal life.

Katy Perry dedicates Super Bowl song to TebowTim Tebow wasn't playing in Sunday's Super Bowl, but you might've thought he was by the way Katy Perry kept dropping his name. The pop star was on hand in Indianapolis, Indiana to play her first U.S. performance since splitting from Russell Brand in December, and E! reports that she also handed out an award at the NFL Honors ceremony on Saturday. Tebow, who happened to be sitting in the front row of the audience, was called out by Perry, who may have heard the gossip that her parents are trying to set her up with the quarterback. "Hey Tim," Perry said while handing off the first honor of the night, "my parents say 'Hi.'" Katy Perry's dad apologizes for anti-Semitic remarksKaty Perry’s father, Pastor Keith Hudson, has apologized after being criticized by two prominent Jewish groups for giving a sermon that included anti-Semitic remarks. The evangelical preacher drew ire from the Simon Wiesenthal Center (SWC) and the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) on Monday because of remarks he made about Jews during a recent speaking engagement at the Church on the Rise in Westlake, Ohio. “You know how to make the Jew jealous? Have some money, honey,” Hudson allegedly said. “You go to L.A. and they own all the Rolex and diamond places. Walk down a part of L.A. where we live and it is so rich it smells. You ever smell rich? They are all Jews, hallelujah! Amen.”

Russell Brand, Katy Perry end marriageAfter a little more than a year of matrimony, Russell Brand and Katy Perry are splitting up. Brand, 36, tells CNN in a statement, "Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage. I'll always adore her and I know we'll remain friends." The Brit comedian and actor filed for divorce from his pop star wife on December 30 in Los Angeles, citing irreconcilable differences.

Katy Perry: Not pregnant, just likes Taco BellAlthough Katy Perry's said she's considered having kids with husband Russell Brand, that doesn't mean she's currently with child. The 27-year-old "California Gurl" is clearing up rumors that she's carrying a baby, especially after an ensemble she wore to Sunday's American Music Awards, People reports. Perry told Hollyscoop "Hell no!" to the inquiry as to whether she's expecting, and she added to The Insider that one is more likely to find a cheeseburger in her belly than a baby.

Her third studio album – you guessed it - “Teenage Dream" is the first album in Billboard’s Adult Pop Songs chart’s 15 years to generate four No. 1 singles. “Last Friday Night” is her latest tune to make the cut, joining “California Gurls,” “Firework” and the album’s title track, “Teenage Dream,” according to Billboard.com. |
