VMA promo features Britney/Janet mash-upA new promo for MTV’s Video Music Awards - to air August 28 - premiered last night during “Jersey Shore.” The 30-second clip features a mash-up of tunes by Britney Spears and Janet Jackson. Fittingly, one poster shows Spears’ head sitting on top of Jackson’s body in her iconic Rolling Stone cover from 1993. The "Till The World Ends" singer appears in the promo, but doesn’t join in the dancing. (Around the 10-second mark, an extra can be seen wearing the pink-thong-over-jeans and matching top she donned in her “I’m A Slave For You” video.) Pauly D to join Britney Spears on tourBritney Spears' concert tour is headed down the "Jersey Shore." MTV reports that DJ Pauly D will open for Spears during six of her dates in August. "I am so excited to be performing on the Britney Spears 'Femme Fatale' tour," he said in a statement. New Manilow album inspired by Britney SpearsBarry Manilow sings about the pleasures and pitfalls of fame on "15 Minutes," his upcoming CD that was inspired by a certain blonde pop princess. "The thing we started to think about was when Britney Spears was being hounded by the paparazzi," Manilow tells the L.A. Times of his concept for the album. "They were driving her crazy. She couldn't have a life without them pulling up next to her car and following her and driving her crazy to the point where, that was around the time she shaved off her hair. I think they actually helped to drive her crazy. We all looked at it in horror… and I said, 'Is this what happens these days?' So it seemed like a thing to be writing an album about." Manilow, whose new disc drops June 14, also drew inspiration from the young talent he worked with as a mentor on "American Idol." Celebs on Twitter: Who else has been hacked? For celebrities, communicating with fans is as easy as typing 140 characters and clicking “tweet.” But as these five celeb tweeters would probably tell you, easy access isn’t always a good thing. After a lewd TwitPic briefly appeared on Democratic Rep. Anthony Weiner’s Twitter account over the weekend, he denied sending the photo, saying his account was hacked. On Wednesday, the congressman told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer he hired a law firm to look into the matter - which has been dubbed by the media as “Weinergate.” Whether Weiner’s account was actually hacked or not remains to be seen, but, for what it’s worth, Donald Trump isn’t buying it. Below, a few celebs who've been hacked: Nicki Minaj joins Britney Spears tourEnrique Iglesias, who? After the singer swiftly denounced reports that he was hitting the road with Britney Spears this summer, the “Femme Fatale” has confirmed that she’s launching an “all female” tour that will include Nicki Minaj. In addition to the eccentric rapper, Spears will have Jessie and the Toy Boys and Nervo open at every stop on the North American tour. "This is the Femme Fatale tour and I'm thrilled to have the hot Nicki Minaj join me and Jessie and the Toy Boys and Nervo will get everyone on the dance floor," Spears says on her website. "Can't wait to take the Femme Fatales on the road." Britney Spears on tour with Enrique? Not so fastBritney Spears has announced that she's headed on tour this summer, but it won't be with Enrique Iglesias. Spears, who’s currently doing a media blitz for her latest album “Femme Fatale,” made the tour announcement on “Good Morning America” Tuesday, saying that she was kicking off a North American tour in Sacramento on June 17 that was to include Iglesias. The "I Like It" singer has since left Spears flying solo. “Unfortunately, Enrique Iglesias and Britney Spears will not be touring together,” a rep for Iglesias told CNN. “Despite initial reports based on formal discussions of the possible run, Enrique will continue on his solo tour in support of his new album 'Euphoria.'” The artist - who according to the statement "has great respect for Britney," is a "longtime fan of her work" and is "very sorry for the confusion" - is currently on tour in Europe.
