Britney Spears shows off sparkler in VegasThe bright lights of Vegas had competition from Britney Spears' engagement ring over the weekend. The 30-year-old singer accepted a marriage proposal from her former agent-turned-boyfriend Jason Trawick on Thursday, which also happened to be his 40th birthday. Having changed her status to "engaged" on Facebook, the couple celebrated their impending nuptials and Trawick's birthday in Vegas. Access Hollywood reports that Spears and Trawick, who have been dating since 2009, stowed their things at Planet Hollywood before heading off for dinner and then partying at Chateau Nightclub, where paparazzi snapped pics of Spears' 3-carat rock.

Britney Spears gets engaged, changes Facebook statusForget about the holidays, Britney Spears is engaged! December can now officially be designated not only Spears and new fiance Jason Trawick's birthday month, but also their engagement. CNN has confirmed that the pair, who have been together since 2009, are now set to make it official. Trawick, who is Spears's former agent, according to PEOPLE popped the question on Thursday which was his 40th birthday. Spears dropped a few clues via her Twitter account and by Saturday had changed her Facebook status to "engaged." FULL POST

Happy 30th birthday, Britney SpearsPop star extraordinaire Britney Spears hit the big 3-0 today. (And we'll admit that makes us feel a smidge old.) The singer is still as big of a pop star as she was more than a decade ago, following the release of her debut album "...Baby One More Time" at the age of 17. Since then, fame and celebrity has taken Britney Jean for something of a bumpy ride.

Britney Spears, Jason Trawick get 'Criminal'After a few teases and a handful of controversy, Britney Spears has tweeted a link to the video for her single "Criminal." Some in the U.K. were not pleased with her wielding a firearm, but there are more fiery things happening in the clip. After a brief acting interlude (why, yes, Britney, we DO remember "Crossroads"!) and a perfume promo, her real-life man Jason Trawick saves Spears from her awful significant other, and Spears runs off with the criminally-minded Clyde to her Bonnie. As she croons "Mama I'm in love with a criminal," we see Spears brandish her weapon in a robbery and then find herself in a shower with Trawick. Till the cops come knocking, indeed. Is Britney Spears getting married?Britney Spears accidentally called beau Jason Trawick her husband on a radio show last week, E! reports. Does this mean a wedding is in the works? During a promo stop on U.K. radio station KISS FM last week, Britney, 29, discussed spending time with her boyfriend of two years (and her talent agent) and her sons, Preston, 6, and Jayden, 5. Nervously wringing her hands throughout the interview, Brit talked about son Jayden’s recent Spiderman and Batman-themed birthday party.

Britney Spears asked to apologize for music video gunBritney Spears has drawn ire from British officials after brandishing a fake gun in a music video shoot near London. Local politicians want an apology from the pop star for “promoting gun violence,” reports MTV. In the video for her upcoming single “Criminal,” Spears runs out of a convenience store waving a fake pistol, accompanied by fiance Jason Trawick, who totes a duffel bag. The controversial Bonnie and Clyde-esque scene was shot in the London neighborhood of Hackney, and officials there say Spears is encouraging violence in the wake of Britain’s August riots. |
