Did Britney walk off 'X Factor' set?Britney Spears is refuting reports that suggest she walked off "The X Factor" set after a contestant performed a pitchy version of her hit "Hold It Against Me." "#Britneywalksoff??? LOL was just taking a little break people. I am having the BEST time!!!" the singer tweeted on Thursday. Prior to her clarification, Spears wrote, "Texas has a lot of talent – seriously! Loving @TheXFactorUSA auditions so far..."

Report: Britney Spears signs on for 'X Factor'The speculation surrounding Britney Spears' rumored "X Factor" deal continued Thursday as reports suggest that the pop star has signed a contract to officially be a judge on the reality competition. According to E!, Spears is set to join season 1 holdovers Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid when "The X Factor" returns to Fox in the fall. The site reports that the pop star signed a deal this week to get $15 million for one season. A source tells E! that there's been "a lot of back and forth over the past few weeks as they negotiated small details, but she's on. It's all completed and Britney is beyond excited."

Britney Spears to judge 'X Factor'?Britney Spears is one of the stars consistently mentioned whenever gossip about "The X Factor" begins to spread, and according to The Hollywood Reporter, Spears could be close to sealing a deal to judge. Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid have said that they're likely going to add two women to the "X Factor's" judging panel, now that Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul are off the show. Spears, along with Katy Perry, LeAnn Rimes and Janet Jackson, has been part of the circling rumors about who could potentially fill the empty spots since "The X Factor's" shake-up in January.

Go ahead and blame Ke$ha: Young women like to 'vocal fry'Ke$ha does it. So does Britney Spears, Zooey Deschanel and Kim Kardashian. And now a report shows two-thirds of women in a recent study do it, too: They're all using vocal fry when they talk. Vocal fry is a creaky, deep sound made when the human voice is at the lowest register. For Ke$ha and Britney, the creak of vocal fry can be heard at the end of the verse lines in their songs. Britney Spears shows off sparkler in VegasThe bright lights of Vegas had competition from Britney Spears' engagement ring over the weekend. The 30-year-old singer accepted a marriage proposal from her former agent-turned-boyfriend Jason Trawick on Thursday, which also happened to be his 40th birthday. Having changed her status to "engaged" on Facebook, the couple celebrated their impending nuptials and Trawick's birthday in Vegas. Access Hollywood reports that Spears and Trawick, who have been dating since 2009, stowed their things at Planet Hollywood before heading off for dinner and then partying at Chateau Nightclub, where paparazzi snapped pics of Spears' 3-carat rock. |
