Britney Spears drops new singleWhile folks were busy clamoring over new music for Kanye West and Jay-Z, Britney Spears dropped her newest single. Spears' uber-poppy track, "Ooh La La," premiered on "On Air With Ryan Seacrest." The Grammy Award-winning pop star is releasing "Ooh La La" as a bundle with the debut single from new artist, G.R.L., titled, "Vacation." The fresh material will be featured on the soundtrack for "The Smurfs 2," the sequel to the live action/animated film that raked in over $560 million at the worldwide box office in 2011.

Jamie Lynn Spears is engagedBritney Spears' engagement to Jason Trawick may be off, but the singer still has a wedding to get ready for. The 31-year-old's younger sister, Jamie Lynn, announced on her Twitter account Sunday that she's engaged.

Britney Spears exits 'The X Factor'Simon Cowell now has another seat to fill on "The X Factor" as Britney Spears has officially quit the show. In a statement, the 31-year-old singer confirms the widespread reports that she's leaving the Fox singing competition after judging for one season. Her exit follows judge L.A. Reid's departure late last year.

Will Britney help 'X Factor' mark its spot?We're starting to feel bad for the singers auditioning on tonight's season 2 premiere of "The X Factor," because they're already irrelevant. Judging from the laser-focus on the pop star's arrival as a new judge, "X Factor" is now Britney's show, and everyone else is just appearing on it.
