In an effort to fight his country’s current housing crisis, Will.i.am is taking the matter into his own hands.
In an interview with U.K. newspaper “The Sun,” the Black Eyed Peas frontman, born William Adams, talked about his mortgage relief program called "i.am.home."
“I rescue families who are losing their homes because they have no jobs and they can’t pay the mortgage and the banks are foreclosing on their homes,” said the artist, who purchased a new home for his grandmother in 2009. “All the people we help are debt free, they don’t have to pay me back.”
The NFL has scored a touchdown with their selection for this year's Super Bowl halftime entertainment: the Black Eyed Peas!
"They could have picked anybody," band member will.i.am tells Rolling Stone of the NFL's decision. "But it says something that they picked us."
The Black Eyed Peas are releasing a new album, "The Beginning," on Tuesday, November 30. Fans who buy the CD could have a chance to see the group's February 6 live performance at the Super Bowl XLV halftime show at Cowboys Stadium in North Texas.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the Super Bowl gig is considered a coup for entertainers because it reaches an enormous audience. Last year, more than 153 million people tuned in to see The Who's halftime show.
Billboard has named Fergie its 2010 Woman of the Year.
With six Grammys under her belt, the singer, whose real name is Stacy Ferguson, said, “I am humbled and excited to accept the Billboard Woman of the Year Award. Being honored by Billboard is a great career achievement.”
In addition to the success Fergie experienced with her solo album in 2006, Billboard reported that the Black Eyed Peas hold the record for the longest streak of consecutive weeks spent at No. 1 on its Hot 100 chart.
Nabbing criminals? There’s an app for that!
TMZ reports that Black Eyed Peas frontman Will.i.am turned to his iPad to take down a crook who broke into his Bentley last week and swiped over $10,000 worth of his personal property. Among the stolen goods: the rapper’s bling and his brand-new iPad.
But the creep should have thought twice about taking the 35-year-old star’s Apple accessory. Law enforcement sources told TMZ that quick-thinking Will.i.am used the iPad's built-in tracking system to locate the thief and forwarded his whereabouts to authorities.
Though the bad guy remains on the loose, most of Will.i.am’s belongings were returned to him.
The title of the Black Eyed Peas' album "The E.N.D." just might apply to Fergie's career with the supergroup, if you believe rumors that surfaced over the weekend.
According to RadarOnline.com, female lead Stacy "Fergie" Ferguson has been repeatedly clashing with band member Will.I.Am over his inflated ego and will leave the group when it finishes its summer tour.
"She's got everything planned out and she says she can't be convinced to change her mind," a source reportedly told RadarOnline.com, adding that the singer also hopes to start a family with hubby Josh Duhamel.
But Will.I.Am insists that he and Fergie, both 35, are closer than peas in a pod. On Saturday he tweeted, "Don't belive [sic] gossip about fergie leaving the group (we are never breaking up) its all lies!!!"
Fergie said she knows it’s impossible to look perfect all the time, but there’s no harm in trying.
The Black Eyes Peas singer and ELLE’s May cover girl told the magazine she pretends that french fries are poison.
“I’m not going to lie: There are times I play mind tricks on myself,” she said.
“With desserts, I’ll let myself have just one bite, but I’ll look like a freak when I’m eating it, like when I did Duncan Hines commercials as a kid, just savoring every morsel.”
Fergie, a self proclaimed romantic, also opened up about her relationship with hubby Josh Duhamel, and how she continues to fall “deeper” in love with him.
“You come to know each other a lot better, you grow together, and it makes you love each other that much deeper,” she said.
