He may have shocked the United States with his same-sex kiss on last year's American Music Awards, but Adam Lambert has vowed to tone it down for his upcoming performance in Malaysia.
The Pan Malaysian Islamic Party has reportedly expressed fears that Lambert's show would promote "gay culture" in the predominantly Muslim country, where homosexual activity is illegal, according to the UK's Guardian newspaper.
As a result, the openly gay "American Idol" runner-up Lambert, 28, will make a few alterations at his Kuala Lumpur concert – but he isn't necessarily happy about it.

While some artists prefer to connect with an audience through their music, Adam Lambert has opted for a more… interactive approach.
At Glambert’s Tuesday night show in Rhode Island, the sparkly singer stopped mid-song to make out with a fan in the front row, PopEater.com reported.
It must have been a good kiss because, about a minute later, the “American Idol” runner-up went back for seconds.

Adam Lambert wasn’t absent from the finale of “American Idol” because he bailed on rehearsals – it was because the “Idol” contestant turned pop star got a case of laryngitis, Lambert’s rep told EW.com.
Roger Widynowski of 19 Entertainment told EW that Lambert had been approached by “Idol” producers to join other top “Idol” stars for the last show of the season - which was also Simon Cowell’s last go-round as an “Idol” judge - but Lambert never confirmed that he’d be a part of the program.
And after he came down with laryngitis over the weekend, Lambert was placed on vocal rest since his own "Glam Nation" tour kicks off June 4, Widynowski said.

In a pre-taped interview and performance, Adam Lambert finally made a return to ABC on “The View” Thursday morning, proving once again that his racy performance at the “American Music Awards” last month was a one-time deal and that he is able to act like a perfect gentleman on-camera and onstage.
Co-host Whoopi Goldberg took on the elephant in the room, that Lambert’s interview and performance on the morning show had been pre-taped a couple of days earlier because of network concern over what could happen during a live taping. Lambert shocked ABC and America with his AMA performance where he kissed his male keyboardist on the mouth and simulated oral sex with a dancer. FULL POST

ABC is finally extending an olive branch to Adam Lambert after the network canceled three performances by the singer in the wake of his controversial American Music Awards appearance.
Lambert will appear with the ladies of “The View” talk show on Thursday in a taped interview and performance, according to the show’s Web site. The episode airs after Wednesday night’s Barbara Walters primetime special, which features Lambert as one of the year’s “Most Fascinating People.”
Following Lambert’s AMA performance, where he shocked the network and viewers with his salacious dance moves that included simulating oral sex with a dancer and kissing a male keyboardist on the mouth, ABC canceled the singer’s live performance on its morning show “Good Morning America.” FULL POST
