Any proper child of the ‘90s will remember Tia Mowry-Hardrict and Tamera Mowry-Housley of “Sister, Sister” fame.
The former child stars gained popularity as actors on the series, which was about long-lost twins who meet as teenagers, but "Sister, Sister" didn't have the same effect at their school.
Edie Falco is perhaps best known for portraying feisty mob wife Carmela Soprano on HBO's "The Sopranos," but the 48-year-old star is currently treating ‘em and streeting ‘em as New York E.R. nurse Jackie Peyton on Showtime's “Nurse Jackie.”
While she always acts in the best interest of her patients, Falco’s character has a dirty little secret: a crippling addiction to prescription drugs. The issue was tackled head-on this season when Jackie was finally sent to rehab.
Singer Olivia Newton-John has been around the world and back again several times over, but her favorite destination will always be her adoptive home country of Australia.
Newton-John recently sat down with CNN and fielded questions from our iReporters, one of whom asked about her favorite place to visit.
“I would choose Australia because that is my heart, home and where I love to spend time – it's my peaceful place,” she said, adding that her Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre, scheduled to open later this year in Melbourne, is especially important to her.
You know her as the perky anchor of HLN’s "Morning Express," but Robin Meade also has a musical side.
Meade spent her childhood singing in her father’s church, and as she told CNN in a recent interview, "I thought that everybody could sing."
While she's currently a journalist with music as a side career, as a high school senior she had no idea what path to pursue.
In order to go from being a runner-up on "American Idol" to landing a lead role on "Smash" while building a solo career in between, 28-year-old singer/actress Katharine McPhee says she had to focus on the positive.
For anyone who sees her career and wants to follow in her footsteps, “You have to love it! You have to even love the lows,” McPhee advised in a recent interview with CNN.
“Just like any career, life is hard and there are challenges, especially with this business," she went on. "There's a lot of hoops to jump through and hills and valleys, [but] it's really rewarding when it's sweet.”
