The stars attending CNN Heroes on Sunday night were hit with question after question from the media as they walked the red carpet. But no matter how many queries were fired their way, none of the celebrities seemed to lose their enthusiasm for the affair.
In fact, among those I chatted with outside the Shrine Auditorium in downtown Los Angeles, the longer they talked about why they were there, the more excited they became.
"Friday Night Lights" alums Scott Porter and LaMarcus Tinker both spoke passionately and at length about CNN Hero Eddie Canales, whose nonprofit Gridiron Heroes supports high school football players who have sustained spinal cord injuries.

CNN is out in Los Angeles tonight for the taping of "CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute," and it will definitely be all star. Bon Jovi, Sugarland and John Legend featuring Common and Melanie Fiona are going to rock the house, and celebs like Halle Berry, Kid Rock, Aaron Eckhart, LL Cool J and Jessica Alba will be on hand to help honor this year's top 10 heroes.

This year's "CNN Heroes: An All Star Tribute" will definitely be a star-filled night, as more celebs are lined up to attend the event, which will honor all of the Top 10 CNN Heroes (who you can view at CNNHeroes.com) as well as the CNN Hero of the Year.
Jessica Alba, Kid Rock, Kiefer Sutherland, Aaron Eckhart, Gerard Butler and Marisa Tomei will be in attendance along with stars like Halle Berry, Demi Moore, LL Coool J and Renee Zellweger.
In addition to performances from Bon Jovi and Sugarland, Grammy-winning artist John Legend has been added to the slate for a set that will also feature rapper Common and singer Melanie Fiona.

Celebrity presenters Halle Berry, Demi Moore, Eva Longoria Parker, LL Cool J, and Renee Zellweger are just a few of the names announced to participate in “CNN Heroes: An All Star Tribute” set to air at 8 p.m. EST/ 5 p.m. PST on Thanksgiving Day, November 25.
Bon Jovi and country group Sugarland are slated to perform for the show which will be broadcast from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles and will be hosted by CNN anchor Anderson Cooper.
Bon Jovi fans with access to a cable TV will be treated to a performance from the rock legends on November 25.
That’s because Bon Jovi has joined the lineup for CNN Heroes, a two-hour celebrity-studded tribute to the top 10 CNN Heroes of 2010. Anderson Cooper is hosting the fourth annual show from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California.
The program, spotlighting everyday people who are changing the world will air at 8 p.m. ET/PT, and country duo Sugarland will also take the stage.
