Unauthorized Simon Cowell tell-all may get sequel

A juicy unauthorized biography about “X Factor” head honcho Simon Cowell has hit the streets – and, according to its author, it packs more fact than fiction.

Tom Bower, the writer behind the allegedly true-life tale “Sweet Revenge,” told the U.K.'s ITV1 on Monday that he actually had the former “American Idol” host’s cooperation in writing the book up to a certain point, according to the Telegraph.

"I flew with him a lot to America on his private jet, I was on his yacht, visited him often in his house in LA," Bower said. "I got to know him very well and we got on very well. In the end I reported what I found."

Simon Cowell has break-in at London home

Simon Cowell reportedly had a fright over the weekend after a woman allegedly broke into his London home.

According to reports, the reality show head honcho was just about to watch himself on "The Jonathan Ross Show" that Saturday night when he heard a strange noise coming from inside his Kensington-area mansion.

The Daily Mail reports that Cowell's rep said on a U.K. morning show Monday that when the entertainment mogul went to investigate, he found an unknown woman in his home with a brick in hand.

Simon Cowell: I'm cocky by nature

With the first season of "The X Factor" scheduled to wrap this week, Simon Cowell says he's keeping a level-headed perspective on how well the series has launched in the States.

"Never finish a season thinking it's the best you've ever done, because you have to feel that you can get better," Cowell, who serves as one of "X Factor's" judges/mentors, told CNN Monday. "I think I probably came here a bit too cocky, but I'm cocky by nature."

He recalls that he was coming off a "massive" run overseas, and with the adrenaline pumping, he couldn't wait to bring "X Factor" to America. "One of these artists is going to be the legacy of this year...and it's going to be better next year."

'X Factor's' Top 10 rock it out

"X Factor" is starting to separate the boys from the men, and the girls from the women!

This week is rock music week, and so the judges chose some of the greatest songs from that genre for their artists.

As usual, there were highs and lows - let's take a stroll down memory lane:

'X Factor' shows another act the door

Another Thursday means another elimination on the "X Factor," and it's never pretty.

But lets talk about the good first: As usual, the show starts with all 11 contestants singing together on stage before the judges are introduced. This part is actually what I love about "X Factor" - even though the elimination show is just one hour before they toss a performer, they entice you with a great performance by a surprise artist.

On Thursday, we got a double dose with Jesse J and Willow Smith, who performed her collaboration with Nicki Minaj called “Fireball." I didn't know Willow could actually sing, and not just rap. Nice!

Who was kicked off the 'X Factor'?

[Editor's Note: If you don't want to know who was eliminated from Thursday's episode of 'X Factor,' stop reading now!]

"X Factor's" viewers are finally able to vote for their favorite musical act, and on Thursday night the first LIVE results show aired.

We began with all 12 finalists singing  "Without You" together on stage. It was kind of odd, but it was nice to see everyone harmonize, along with a few rhymes from Brian Bradley.

It was also the last time we would see all of the artists performing together.
