Beyoncé's doc gets an 'O'-mazing review

We've already covered how this is Beyoncé's world, and the rest of us just live in it, so it's no surprise the 31-year-old was able to pull Oprah Winfrey out to her HBO documentary premiere in New York on Tuesday night.

"I only did this for you!" Oprah told Bey on the red carpet. "I haven’t been on a red carpet in God knows when."

How Cissy Houston learned of Whitney's death

Almost one year to the day after Whitney Houston's death, Cissy Houston is releasing "Remembering Whitney," a book about her daughter's extraordinary life and untimely demise.

While promoting the memoir on “Oprah’s Next Chapter,” the 79-year-old gospel singer detailed the moment that she learned Whitney, nicknamed Nippy by her family, had died on February 11, 2012.

“My son called me and he was screaming, ‘Mom, Mommy.’ Then, oh God. I said, ‘What is wrong, what’s wrong?’ He just said, ‘Nippy. Nippy.’ I said, ‘What’s wrong with Nippy?’ … I was getting annoyed because he wasn’t telling me anything. He said, ‘Mommy.’ I said, ‘Is she dead?’ And he said, ‘Yeah, Mommy, she’s dead.’ And I don’t remember too much else after that.”

Overheard: Letterman says Leno is funny, insecure

“Late Show” host David Letterman is opening up to Oprah Winfrey about depression, being the victim of a 2009 extortion attempt, and his highly publicized feud with Jay Leno.

During the interview with Winfrey, who he has also quarreled with in the past, Letterman calls Leno an “unusual fellow.”

“I’ve never met anyone quite like Jay. And I will say, and I’m happy to say, that I think he’s the funniest guy I’ve ever known. … Therefore, the fact that he is also maybe the most insecure person I have ever known, I could never reconcile that.”

The full interview is set to air on “Oprah’s Next Chapter” on Sunday, January 6 at 9 p.m. ET.

Oprah Winfrey still highest paid celeb

Oprah Winfrey's trials as the CEO of the OWN network have been covered in detail - occasionally by the media titan herself. But for now, at least, Winfrey still reigns as Forbes magazine's highest-paid celebrity for the fourth year in a row.

The publication estimates Winfrey earned $165 million between May 2011 and May 2012, thanks to her brand stretching across media. There's O magazine, a satellite radio station, Harpo productions programming - "The Dr. Oz Show," "Dr. Phil" and "Rachael Ray" - and, of course, the vulnerable OWN.
