Mariah's music was the soundtrack for twins' birth

Even in the delivery room, Mariah Carey turned up the music.

Hubby Nick Cannon says that besides videotaping the April 30 delivery of twins Monroe and Moroccan , they also played some special music to help welcome their little boy and girl into the world.

"Now my wife wanted to make sure that when the babies came out, that they came out not only to a Mariah Carey song, but a live performance from Mariah Carey—her Madison Square performance of 'Fantasy'—so they came out to a round of applause," Cannon says on Friday's edition of the OWN network's "Gayle King Show."

Tamar Braxton: Mariah named her twins what?

As the youngest and most vocal member of her family, Tamar Braxton is rarely at a loss for words on WE's "Braxton Family Values."

The backup singer was left speechless, however, during a recent Vulture interview in which she learned that Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon had named their twins Monroe and Moroccan, with the latter being a tribute to a room in their house.

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon reveal baby names

Mariah Carey and her husband Nick Cannon have finally revealed the names of their twins who were born in Los Angeles on Saturday.

Their son is named Moroccan Scott Cannon, with the nickname "Roc". Scott is Nick’s middle name, as well as his grandmother’s maiden name.

The top tier of Mariah’s New York City apartment is called the Moroccan Room, because of the Moroccan-inspired decor. It’s also the place where Nick proposed to his wife, overlooking Manhattan!

Their daughter’s name is Monroe Cannon. Mariah's rep says she does not have a middle name because Mariah herself does not have one. Monroe was named after Marilyn Monroe, who has been an inspiration to Mariah her whole life. FULL POST
