The former Mr. Sandra Bullock and his tattooed reality star love are no more. People reports that Jesse James and Kat Von D have called off their engagement … again.
"I am not in a relationship," Kat wrote in a note on her Facebook page on Saturday. "And I apologize for all the 'back and forth' if it's caused any confusion."
After calling off their engagement in July, Jesse, 42, and Kat, 29, had gotten back together in August, as Von D's reality show “L.A. Ink” was canceled. The engagement was back on, but not for long.
After recently blowing up the Twitterverse with public declarations of their love, Jesse James and Kat Von D are taking their relationship to the next level.
James and Von D, who began dating last summer after the very public dissolution of James’s marriage to Sandra Bullock, are engaged, according to People.
The pair went public with their relationship less than three months after James and Bullock’s divorce was finalized in June.
This time last year, Jesse James and Sandra Bullock were still weeks away from a buzzed-about break-up, but in 2011, James is professing his love for a different brunette: 28-year-old reality TV star Kat Von D.
The couple, who reportedly began dating last summer, have recently been all a-Twitter with their love. Kat Von D tweeted January 8, "He loves me tee hee" along with a Twitpic of a bouquet of roses. James, 41, responded to her giddy post by first saying "It's true" and following it up with, "@thekatvond I have Never Felt so Loved! I'm The Luckiest MoFo in the World!" the next day.
Wait, there's more.
Kat Von D will make a stop on HLN’s “The Joy Behar Show” at 9 p.m. tonight – her first primetime interview since her relationship with Jesse James went public – to talk about her new book “The Tattoo Chronicles."
Von D was first on the radar with “Miami Ink," a show about her work as a tattoo artist. More recently, however, she’s been grabbing headlines for dating the infamous James, a coupling that reportedly began just months after his divorce became final with then-wife Sandra Bullock.
Von D was spotted on Tuesday signing copies of her new book in New York City, where she told USA Today that she and James were still going strong and she’s not dating Nikki Sixx, her ex-boyfriend.
During an interview with ABC News’ “Nightline” Tuesday, Jesse James alleged that the main reason he went to rehab after cheating on Sandra Bullock was because he’d been “terrorized” as a child.
“My whole childhood, I never had a chance to be a kid,” James told ABC News correspondent Vicki Mabrey. “[My dad] beat my [expletive] pretty good a bunch of times. Football star, bike builder, Monster Garage TV star – all that stuff was a huge smoke screen so people won’t see that I’m a scared, abused kid.”
But in an email to ABC, James’ father Larry denied the allegations of abuse, and told RadarOnline.com in an interview that the scenario James recalled to the point of tears during the interview – that his father broke his arm – didn’t happen the way James described.
The implosion of Jesse James’ marriage to Sandra Bullock played out in the media for weeks, but everyone could only dance around the essential plot point: Did Jesse James actually cheat? Now, we all have the answer.
When ABC News correspondent Vicki Mabrey asked James during the "Nightline" interview Tuesday if he cheated on Bullock, he only had one thing to say: “Yup.”
So yes, he did cheat, but with how many women? James wouldn't confirm the allegations that he broke his vows with all five women who have described themselves as his mistresses, because to him, the number itself doesn’t really matter. “It could’ve been a million,” he told Mabrey in the interview. “Bad is bad….It’s just that I took a perfect marriage, a perfect wife, a perfect life, a perfect stepmother and threw it away with my actions.”
