Hide the canned cheese from Gwyneth Paltrow, or things could get ugly.
The 38-year-old actress/foodie turned up at the iTunes festival in London on Tuesday to talk cooking and good eats, and after avoiding questions from interviewer Jonathan Ross about husband Chris Martin, she explained that she doesn’t let her kids go anywhere near McDonald’s.
“I take them to Pizza Express because I think that’s much healthier,” she told Ross, according to the Daily Mirror. “Don’t tell them there are toys!”

As promised, Gwyneth Paltrow popped up at the "Glee Live!" show at the summer tour's London stop on Wednesday. Lea Michele, who plays Rachel Berry on the show, tweeted earlier that the night's event was "going to be a special one" before she revealed that Paltrow was the surprise.
The 38-year-old had a breakout role on the Fox series as the substitute teacher Holly Holiday, and she joined the "Glee" crew at the O2 arena for another rendition of Cee Lo's "Forget You," as she previously did in New Jersey. According to the Daily Mail, Santana, as played by Naya Rivera, was in the middle of telling the "Glee" crew that she'd been named the sexiest glee club member when Paltrow strolled on stage and challenged her to a sing-off.
Hopefully they enjoyed her performance as much as this fan, who told the actress/singer on Twitter, "you were SO AMAZING tonight, thank you soooo much!! You have made my life!!!"

Perhaps the folks over at "Glee" heard our prayers for a few less "teachable moments" next season.
Six new writers have been added to the show, The Hollywood Reporter says. Allison Adler, Marti Noxon, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, Michael Hitchcock, Matt Hodgson and Ross Maxwell have joined Ryan Murphy and team to craft story lines for Season 3.
The group of new writers brings quite a pedigree.

The celebrity Twitter-verse just got a new member: Gwyneth Paltrow. The actress/singer/frequent ”Glee” guest star joined the social networking site as well as Facebook on Wednesday.
Thus far she’s said nothing more than “this is my first tweet!” and “M+A at coldplay secret gig new songs=genius,” along with a photo of her kids with husband Chris Martin, Apple and Moses, but Paltrow’s already amassed more than 71,000 followers.
“I’m trying to join the 21st century, so it’s me,” Paltrow says in the video. “I’m on Facebook and Twitter,” she said. “But not right now, I’m walking down the street looking for a cab.”
