The debate surrounding the "N" word continues today with Gwyneth Paltrow at the center of it.
Conversation was sparked over the weekend after an image was tweeted from her account that appears to be of herself on stage with rappers Kanye and Jay-Z during their “Watch the Throne” concert in Paris. (For those who don't know, Paltrow is besties with Jay-Z and his wife, Beyonce.)
Jay and 'Ye reportedly made the most of being in the City of Light, performing their track "N***as in Paris" 11 times - a record, music blog Nah Right points out.
Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin tend to keep their marriage away from the lenses of the paparazzi, but they don't have a problem opening up about one another in interviews.
And in the March issue of Harper's Bazaar, Paltrow speaks on learning the art of compromise - even when compromising means letting her career take a back seat to that of her husband's.
"I have little kids in school," the actress says in the interview. "I want to maintain my marriage and my family, so I have to be here when [Chris] comes home."
Gwyneth Paltrow has posted a helpful New Year’s Eve-themed newsletter on her GOOP website.
The Oscar-winning actress and domestic diva has laid out multiple options for those who plan to enjoy adult beverages on Saturday night. Some suggestions are more practical than others. Let’s run through them:
Water, of course, is the first thing mentioned. Alcohol dehydrates, as we know. "It is thus essential to drink a lot of water while drinking and before you go to bed... it can prevent a hangover or at least lessen one,” says Dr. Frank Lipman.
Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin follow the celebrity code of silence when it comes to their marriage - good luck spotting them on the red carpet together - but they've recently been a bit more open.
Paltrow explained to Elle earlier this year, that Martin "makes music for his fans, and he doesn’t want people to conjure a lame famous couple when they’re getting into his music...I get it.”
And Martin himself, who met Paltrow in 2002 and wed the Oscar winner in 2003, told CBS Sunday Morning that this is the one serious relationship he's been in.
Gwyneth Paltrow may have gone a little overboard celebrating her 39th birthday on Tuesday, if her Twitter account is any indication. Wednesday morning, the actress alerted followers to her “horrific hangover,” reports E! Online.
"Nursing a horrific hangover at the jfk,” Gwynnie shared early Wednesday. “Nothing like starting an overseas flight dehydrated. Where is the dog, I need the hair."
Paltrow’s “Contagion” co-star Ali Wentworth hinted at the source of the birthday girl’s sickness, replying, "Happy Hang-over!!!! Heard it was Crazy! Next year Paris!"
Gwyneth Paltrow and Lil Wayne share a birthday today, which made us wonder what else these two stars have in common.
A decade apart - Paltrow blows out 39 candles today, while Weezy celebrates 29 years - this is a musically talented pair. Weezy's made a successful career in the industry, and Paltrow sings - and occasionally raps - whenever possible.
Both know how to throw a party (dinner, or otherwise) and we'd imagine that if they ever combined their fetes, it's basically a given Beyonce - Paltrow's bestie, who Wayne's also worked with - and maybe even Madonna would be in attendance. (Wayne is featured on Madonna’s 2009 song, “Revolver," and Gwyn and Madge pal around, though they may have had a falling out. "Through thick and thin she's a constant in my life," Paltrow told V Magazine of Madonna in 2008.)
