Trailer Park: George Clooney, Sandra Bullock in 'Gravity'Sandra Bullock has been picky about her projects after winning an Oscar in 2010, but we'll see plenty of the actress on the big screen this year. First up is her June comedy with Melissa McCarthy, "The Heat," which will be followed by her sci-fi thriller with George Clooney, "Gravity." Clooney's tequila makes for unexpected bedfellowsGeorge Clooney just got busted in bed with Cindy Crawford ... in an ad for his new tequila brand, that is. “The Descendants” actor teamed up with longtime friend Rande Gerber – former model and husband of supermodel Crawford – to develop the new tequila, Casamigos. Who'd George Clooney call after his arrest? We'll give you a hint: It wasn't his sweetheart Stacy Keibler. Nope - When George Clooney found himself detained Friday after being arrested outside of the Sudanese Embassy in Washington, he says he did what many of us would do in that situation: He used his one phone call to ring his mom. Why George Clooney got himself arrested "Nothing ever changes," he joked with a TMZ reporter. 'Descendants' director talks career, next filmAlexander Payne's "The Descendants" was one of the most-talked about films of the past awards season, and it indeed led to accolades for the director. Adapted from the book of the same name, "The Descendants," now available on DVD and Blu-ray, was nominated for a total of five Academy Awards and won for best adapted screenplay, which Payne co-wrote with Nat Faxon and Jim Rash. Starring George Clooney as Matt King, "The Descendants" follows the self-described "backup parent" after his wife's boating accident near their Hawaiian home leaves her in a coma. George Clooney speaks out on Sudan 'war crimes'George Clooney is testifying before Congress today about his recent visit to South Sudan, where he says he witnessed frequent attacks on civilians. He told Soledad O'Brien this morning on CNN's "Starting Point" that "When you are indiscriminately bombing innocent civilians, you are committing war crimes. It's a cowardly act, and that is what they're doing." Clooney is the co-founder of the “Satellite Sentinel Project,” which uses satellite imagery to screen for signs of aerial attacks and troop movement throughout the region. Last week, he was there writing and directing a video about the situation for the anti-genocide group, "The Enough Project." "We were there when they fired three rockets over our head," Clooney described. "We were there when a young man got both of his hands blown off. It is very difficult to see these people living in the kind of fear that they have. This is every single day...they actually live in villages; they're hiding in caves because they're being killed. And that's very difficult to see." George Clooney still open to marriageAlthough he's gained a reputation as Hollywood's playboy, George Clooney hasn't totally ruled out the idea of one day settling down for good. Clooney's been married before, and as he told Piers Morgan on "Piers Morgan Tonight" last year, considering that union ended in 1993 "should show you how good I was at it." These days, however, it sounds like Clooney is ever so slightly changing his tune. |
