Bradley Cooper: Liam Neeson is the man

Posted: 01:48 AM ET

Liam Neeson, fresh from his gritty, tough guy performance in "Taken," is tackling a very different kind of role in the upcoming big-screen version of "The A-Team." Neeson's usual screen persona is as serious as a triple coronary bypass, and I'm not quite sure I see him as the light, devil-may-care leader of the group, "Hannibal Smith," the role made famous by the late George Peppard.

But Bradley Cooper, who plays "Face" in the film, vouches for his new on-screen boss.

"We're filming it right now, and he's fantastic. I think that people are going to love his Hannibal. He certainly raises everybody's game when you do a scene with him. He's an incredible actor."

But what exactly is the tone of this thing? Serious? Funny?

"It's everything, you know, it's like, at its best, if we succeed in this movie, it'll toe the line of being both, which I think is the goal."

So Neeson's hitting the comedy notes?

"He's hitting notes I've never even heard of. Yeah, he's that good."

I love it when a plan comes together...

The stalker and the producer

Posted: 08:40 AM ET

It's a old fable dating back to the days of ... well, fables. A strange woman who hunts her man like a lioness stalking its prey. The man who knows better than to be caught in her trap. And an ending that will make romantics everywhere tear-up happily.

At least, that's what I'm guessing happens based on the trailer.

"All About Steve" is out in theaters today, starring Sandra Bullock and Bradley Cooper. The stars of the film talked with CNN recently about their new comedy. Check out what they had to say in today's Movie Pass:

Obsessed with Bradley Cooper

Posted: 01:59 PM ET

Obsession was on the minds of Sandra Bullock and Bradley Cooper at the "All About Steve" premiere Wednesday night in Hollywood. Bullock plays a woman who's obsessed by Cooper's character, a camerman (or photographer, as they preferred to be called) for the fictional TV news organization "CCN." Hmmm... what could that be modeled after?

But don't call her character's fixation creepy, says Bullock: “[She’s] not creepy - don't pass judgment - don't put the word creepy out there. She's annoying at the beginning, but at the end you [the audience] turn around and blame yourself for passing judgment . She was innocent and real rather than jaded and guarded and cool. She's just incredibly smart and kind.”

And why is she so obsessed? “All cameramen are hot. Like the one behind this one right now. If I wasn’t with my husband, whew!" she jokes. "Cameramen are like firemen – all have a level of hotness.” That brought a smile to the man behind the lens for our interview, Chris Audick.

Cooper is learning more and more about obsession these days, as in America's obsession with celebrity gossip.  His dating exploits (Jennifer Aniston and Renee Zellweger are among the ladies with whom he's been linked) are being read about in super market check-out aisles around the country. “I don't read it," he says, "But I get emails from friends saying 'Whoa! Man, what the hell is happening?' And they all talk like that [does frat-boy voice] 'Hey man!'" So you take it with a grain of salt? "Oh yeah!”
