Angelina Jolie donates $100k to Syrian refugeesAngelina Jolie isn't so busy with her filming schedule for “Maleficent” that she’s lost sight of what’s happening elsewhere in the world. In recognition of World Refugee Day on Wednesday, the actress donated $100,000 to help Syrian refugees, the U.N. Refugee Agency said in a statement thanking her for the gift.

Photo: Angelina Jolie as 'Maleficent'Joining the ranks of Charlize Theron and Julia Roberts as another evil fairy tale character, Angelina Jolie makes being bad look awfully good. Disney released a photo of the 37-year-old Oscar winner as the title character in the upcoming "Maleficent" on Tuesday, and while the image is a little dark, we could see those cheekbones from a mile away.

Chelsea Handler: Still not a big fan of Angelina JolieChelsea Handler has never held back when it comes to the topic of Angelina Jolie, so don't expect her to start now. In the May issue of More magazine, the media personality - who’s tight with Brad Pitt’s ex-wife Jennifer Aniston - views the future Mrs. Pitt as the opposite of a girl’s girl. “You just know as a woman when you see another woman if that’s a woman you can trust,” Handler told the magazine of the recently-engaged actress. "[Jolie] doesn’t strike me as someone I would have a close friendship with.”

Jon Voight: No updates on Jolie-Pitt wedding plansIf you’re waiting for Jon Voight to give fans the 4-1-1 on Angelina Jolie’s upcoming wedding to Brad Pitt, don’t hold your breath. The actor told Us Weekly that his once-estranged daughter has not shared any of the details of her pending wedding with him - in fact, she didn’t even tell him she was getting hitched. "It was very nice I thought,” Voight said of hearing about the couple’s happy news in the press. “If they are happy - if they're going to have a wedding - it's wonderful."

Engaged couple Brad and Angie might work together againBrad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are officially engaged, and word has it they might end up working together on a future project as well. Deadline is reporting that if negotiations pan out, Pitt could star in Ridley Scott's "The Counselor" with his long-time lady love being a rumored potential contender for the female lead. The real-life partners and parents have not acted together since 2005’s action adventure “Mr. and Mrs. Smith,” where they became friends on-set.

Jolie's leg takes on a life of its ownIf Angelina Jolie isn't careful, her right leg is going to snatch the next star role right out from under her. It's not that the pose the actress struck at the Oscars was unusual - a number of stars have purposefully displayed a scintillating bit of skin through the slit of a gown (with exhibit A being Jennifer Aniston, the ex-wife of Jolie's partner, Brad Pitt.) But Jolie's dedication to putting her right leg front and center has sparked a meme that popular culture just can't kick. |
