Sia eschews the cameras on 'Ellen'

Singer-songwriter Sia is behind some of music's biggest hits, but she's worked hard to stay out of the spotlight.

The woman behind "Diamonds" and "Wild Ones" is notorious for choosing not to be photographed or perform in front of cameras, so with a new single and an upcoming album, Sia is getting creative.

On the May 19 episode of Ellen DeGeneres' daytime talk show, Sia recreated her popular music video for her single "Chandelier." In the video, you don't see Sia, but rather one of the young dancers from the reality show "Dance Moms," Maddie Ziegler.

The energetic performer, 11, joined Sia on DeGeneres' show Monday. While the singer kept her back to the camera, Maddie dove headfirst into her dance routine.

"Chandelier" is from Sia's upcoming album, "1000 Forms of Fear," due out July 8.
