Cannes critics don't like Ryan Gosling, either

After booing Ryan Reynolds, some of Cannes critics have given Ryan Gosling the cold shoulder, too.

The actor made his directorial debut at the film festival on Tuesday with a fantasy thriller called "Lost River." If it's anything like its teaser trailer (see below), the movie could probably also be called "Confusing River."

Ryan Reynolds booed at Cannes

May 16 was supposed to be a great day for Ryan Reynolds.

The actor was at the Cannes Film Festival ready to debut his new movie, "The Captive," with wife Blake Lively by his side. If all went according to plan, he and his beaming bride could exit the theater with critics spreading word of Reynolds' comeback.

The only problem? It doesn't sound like anything went according to plan.
