"True Blood" has seen a lot of death but now its time to put the show itself to rest.
In June, the HBO series will air its seventh and final season, and from the look of a new trailer it's not going down without a fight.
Anna Paquin's Sookie Stackhouse tells us in a trembling voiceover that all is far, far from well in Bon Temps. The infected vampires are attacking everything in sight and the townsfolk are arming themselves and turning on each other. And in the midst of it all, any aid from the government is nowhere to be found.
"How can this be happening, in this day and age, that our government would leave us for dead?" an incredulous Sookie says at the end of the clip, giving the upcoming season some ominous foreshadowing. "There's no one left."
We'll see what she means when the seventh season of "True Blood" kicks off on June 22.
