Breaking up is already hard to do without being contractually obligated to see your ex.
That was once the scenario for Kaley Cuoco - now Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting - after her two-year relationship with her "Big Bang Theory" co-star Johnny Galecki came to an end.
"It took a minute, a bit of awkwardness," Cuoco admits to Cosmopolitan magazine in its May issue. "By the grace of God, we became best buddies and moved on in such an elegant way. [He’s] one of my closest friends."
They're so close that Galecki was given prime seats at Cuoco's December 2013 wedding, when she tied the knot with tennis player Ryan Sweeting. "(Galecki) was in the front row at my wedding, with a huge smile on his face," she recalls.
But before Cuoco found love with Sweeting, she was dating Superman - a.k.a., Brit actor Henry Cavill. Their relationship was short-lived - as in, just 10 days - but that was long enough for Cuoco to get bumped up to the A-list.
"I had no one following me until I met Superman," she tells Cosmo. "I’ve been in this business for 20 years, and my whole life, I could go anywhere, do anything. There had not been one paparazzi photo of me until like several months ago. The recognition was crazy."
Perhaps not as crazy as her subsequent whirlwind romance with Sweeting. After breaking it off with Cavill in July 2013, it seems Cuoco immediately fell in the arms of her now-husband because by September she was engaged.
"I admit it happened fast, but that’s who I am," she says. "When we met, I knew he was the one. [At my wedding], I felt like a rock star and a badass. What was amazing in that room, it was so full of love. It was like nothing I’d ever been to before, and it was exactly what we wanted it to be. It was the eighth wonder of the world, the greatest wedding of all time."
