For everyone who donated $5.7 million to Kickstarter to see their favorite P.I. from Neptune, California on the big screen, they now have a movie trailer to go along with their donations.
The first official clip for the "Veronica Mars" film debuted Thursday night on YouTube, and for fans of the cult classic TV show, everything seemed to be right where they left it.
Kristen Bell reprises her role as the sardonic Mars, who was "issued a private investigator's license at 18." However, she's not the same Mars that everyone may remember, now that she's a big-time NYC lawyer dating the "perfect" guy, Chris Lowell's Piz.
But of course it only takes one criminal mystery involving Logan Echolls (Jason Dohring) back in her hometown to get the old crew back together. (Not to mention force Mars to go to her high school reunion.)
Fan favorites like Veronica's dad, Keith Mars (played by Enrico Colantoni), are of course present, as well as other guest stars who've gone on to do other things, such as Krysten Ritter and "New Girl's" Max Greenfield.
Thanks to Kickstarter donations, "Veronica Mars" the movie will land in theaters on March 14. What do you think of the clip?
Donations made this movie so any profit would go back to who?
I guess people will see the movie to see KB and a few others but this movie will not be a blockbuster hit but it will do great on DVD
We're going to hold you to that statement, Lee. If you're wrong, you're going to have to pay up as a lot of money is riding on your prediction.
It was an unusual premise that worked on tv...appealed to a wide range of ages; KB was able to pull off what few are successful in doing; enjoyed KB in the clip.
