First Grammy performers revealed, and more news to note:

Today's talk you might've missed:

  • Expect to see a lot of Kendrick Lamar at the Grammy Awards on January 26. The rapper, who's nominated for seven awards, will also perform during the ceremony, along with Imagine Dragons and Daft Punk. [NYT]
  • Of course Beyoncé's self-titled album has already sold 1 million copies on iTunes. After all, she woke up like this. [HuffPost]
  • With an "Argo" writer on board to write the script for Zack Snyder's "Batman vs. Superman" movie, word has it Joaquin Phoenix is being eyed to take on the role of Lex Luthor. [THR/Variety]
  • The kids are all right TV: Fox's "MasterChef Junior" has been renewed for a second season. [New York Magazine's Vulture]

Adele gets the royal treatment

If it were up to us Adele would win all the awards, so we heartily approve of the singer receiving a royal nod on Thursday.

The Grammy-winning songstress was presented with an MBE medal from Prince Charles at Buckingham Palace on December 19 in recognition of her (excellent) services to music.

Paul Rudd as Ant-Man?

If all you wanted for Christmas were some intriguing casting rumors, we're just sorry that we weren't able to gift-wrap this one.

According to reports, Paul Rudd is in early talks to join Marvel's team of superheroes as Ant-Man.
