Nudity's worked for our furrier friends, so why wouldn't it help save some fish?
Gillian Anderson is giving it a whirl. The former "X Files" star has posed topless, wearing just a conger eel around her neck, as part of a U.K.-based awareness campaign by Fishlove.
The 45-year-old actress joined the project to support sustainable fishing, a cause that already has a roster of famous supporters, including Ben Kingsley, Jerry Hall and her daughter, Elizabeth Jagger.
On her Twitter account Wednesday, Anderson shared her eel-loving photo and urged her followers to sign a petition asking members of the European Parliament to end a destructive form of deep-sea fishing called trawling in the Northeast Atlantic.
"This is a global issue," the "Hannibal" actress said along with a link to the petition.
