In Hollywood, Washington D.C. has a shady character around every corner, and that's doubly the case in the new trailer for "Captain America: The Winter Soldier."
In the sequel to 2011’s “Captain America,” Chris Evans’ shield-carrying Marvel hero is living in the Capital and trying to adjust to the modern age. He doesn't do much for fun - all the guys in his barbershop quartet are dead, after all - but he is staying busy slaying would-be assassins in elevators, as the trailer shows:
In the sequel, Robert Redford plays S.H.I.E.L.D. top dog Alexander Pierce, who's convinced that "to build a better world sometimes means to tear the old one down," even when it means making a few enemies in the process.
Along with Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), the Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and the Falcon (Anthony Mackie), Captain America has to face off against a lethal foe in this installment: Sebastian Stan's Winter Soldier.
And if the trailer is any indication, this is going to be one explosive face-off.
"Captain America: The Winter Soldier," directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, arrives April 4, 2014.
