Jamie-Lynn Sigler now has her first taste of parenthood.
The 32-year-old actress welcomed her first child, a boy, with fiancé Cutter Dykstra on Wednesday.
While Sigler's said that she was anticipating a slow courtship with her baseball-playing beau, so far it's been the opposite. Dykstra, 24, popped the question in January after roughly a year of dating, and by February the two revealed that they also had a baby on the way.
"We definitely thought it was going to be a slow relationship process, and possibly engagement - I felt like it was coming - so the baby definitely threw us for a loop but a really exciting surprise," Sigler told SheKnows.
"Cutter is everything I've ever wanted, he's my best friend, for sure," she added of Dykstra, who plays for the Washington Nationals. "When we met I knew he was going to be in my life forever."
Wedding planning took a backseat to baby, and Sigler welcomed that change with open arms.
"I'm excited to sort of have me come second," she said. "I'm really ready for that. I'm ready to have that experience. ... It's such a beautiful process of life to grow your family. Especially with what I do, we get pampered and catered to so much and it's so lovely, but I'm ready for someone to be dependent on me."
Grats on the new taxpayer
