Now that she's a mom of two under two years, Jessica Simpson is planning to slow down on the new deliveries.
"Pregnancy is a lot," the 33-year-old tells Us Weekly magazine in its new issue, which boasts Simpson and her two kids, 15-month-old Maxwell Drew and 2-month-old Ace Knute, on its cover. "It was hard to do two so close together."
Having pulled it off - as evidenced by her family's beaming grins on Us Weekly - Simpson says has a "huge sense of accomplishment, and I feel that in my heart I'm done. But obviously, accidents do happen!"
The singer/actress/fashion mogul joked during her second pregnancy that she and fiancé Eric Johnson didn't have time to get married because she kept getting pregnant.
"Apparently it was part of God's plan for my life, but I was extremely shocked," she told Jay Leno on "The Tonight Show" in January. "I was shocked because I was going through a lot of hormonal changes, trying to get back to the old vibrant Jessica, and you know, it was kind of like a one-night stand. And it happened all over again."
But now that her bundle of surprise has arrived, Simpson is embracing her new, busy life.
"With two kids, we have our hands full, but every day is a new adventure," she says. "It's fun! I feel very at peace with being a mom."
