Avril Lavigne is obviously a fan of "The Wonder Years."
The newly re-married rocker invited actress Danica McKellar - a.k.a. Winnie from the iconic TV series - to appear in her new music video for the single "Rock N Roll."
And from the look of the five-minute clip, the two became pretty friendly on set.
The premise for the video (which could also double as an advertisement for the Sony Xperia) appears to pay homage to 1995's action comedy "Tank Girl."
In Lavigne's comic-strip mash-up, "the human race is dwindling. Shark attacks on land are on the rise. And the fate of rock 'n' roll is in jeopardy." The only thing that can save it is Avril in fatigues and a post-apocalyptic Winnie Cooper dressed for war.
In between taking on a masked villain, a lobster and something called a bearshark, Lavigne pauses for a makeout session in the car with Danica as a "Wonder Years"-esque narration sets the scene.
After the video was released this week, McKellar, 38, tweeted that her Canadian co-star wasn't half bad.
"Rock N Roll," from Lavigne's upcoming self-titled album, will be released on August 27.
