The Miss Universe competition may be traveling to Russia, but one if its frequent hosts will not.
Bravo's Andy Cohen told fellow pageant co-host and E! News host Giuliana Rancic that he "didn't feel right as a gay man stepping foot into Russia."
"Their discriminatory policies make it unsafe for the gays who live there and gays coming to work or visit," Cohen said. "The law is that anyone under suspicion of homosexuality can be arrested."
There has been an international backlash since the implementation of a law in Russia last month that bans "propaganda of nontraditional sexual relations around minors."
Cohen, who is an executive at Bravo as well as the host of their "Watch What Happens Live" show and the "Real Housewives" reunions co-hosted the 2011 and 2012 pageants. There is no word yet on who might replace him.
