Benedict Cumberbatch is back again with another must-watch trailer.
The Brit actor, who's shifted from Sherlock Holmes to "Star Trek's" evildoer Khan already this year, is now stepping into the shoes of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange in "The Fifth Estate."
The movie follows the founding of WikiLeaks and its rise to notoriety from the viewpoint of Assange's colleague, Daniel Domscheit-Berg (Daniel Brühl).
In the new trailer for the anticipated release, we see Assange and Domscheit-Berg collaborate on the steady leaks of classified documents that began around 2007 and really heated up between 2010 and 2012.
The script, written by Josh Singer ("The West Wing," "Lie to Me," "Fringe"), is based partly on Domscheit-Berg's book, "Inside WikiLeaks: My Time with Julian Assange at the World's Most Dangerous Website," as well as the title "WikiLeaks: Inside Julian Assange’s War on Secrecy."
Is Assange a visionary like some have said, the trailer asks, or is he a traitor?
Mull it over more when "The Fifth Estate," directed by Bill Condon, arrives in theaters October 11.
