Rocker Bruce Springsteen is away from the states, but his mind is still on the events unfolding in his homeland.
According to The Star Ledger, the rocker was playing a concert in Limerick, Ireland when he spotted a sign for his song "American Skin."
"He said, 'Where is that sign?' and grabbed it," the publication reported witnesses as saying. "He then said, 'I want to send this one out as a letter back home. For justice for Trayvon Martin.'"
Springsteen joins a long list of celebrities who have shared their feelings about the recent verdict in the Zimmerman trial.
The song "American Skin" has history, having been written by Springsteen in 1999 after the shooting death of Amadou Diallo by New York City police. The lyrics to the song include the words "You can get killed just for living/In your American skin."
