New trailers have been released back-to-back over the past two days, with everything from Guillermo del Toro's July 12 sci-fi epic "Pacific Rim" getting a final marketing push to Vince Vaughn's new comedy offering its first full clip.
In "Delivery Man," which is slated for a Thanksgiving 2013 release, Vaughn plays a sweet but unreliable underachiever who learns that he's also the father of 533 kids, thanks to the anonymous donation he made to a fertility clinic back in 1994.
Written and directed by Ken Scott, the comedy sees Vaughn try and become a "guardian angel" to his incredibly large brood, 142 of which decide to file a lawsuit to reveal their father's identity. Cobie Smulders, Chris Pratt and Bobby Moynihan also star.
In September 2014, we'll see another film that tells the story of an uncovnetional family. The animated feature "The Boxtrolls," based on the children's novel "Here Be the Monsters!" by Alan Snow, tells the story of an orphaned boy who was raised by a group of underground trash-collecters that are now being targeted by the movie's villainous exterminator.
The film, from the same company that brought us "Coraline" and "ParaNorman," has a touching trailer that asks the question, "what makes a family?" "Sometimes, there's a mother. Sometimes, there's a father. Sometimes, there's a father and a father - sometimes, both fathers are mothers," the narrator says as a series of potential parents, including a same-sex pair, pop up and then disappear from the frame.
Featuring the voices of Elle Fanning, Simon Pegg, Toni Collette and Ben Kingsley, "The Boxtrolls" wants to show that "families come in all shapes and sizes, even rectangles."
Meanwhile, comedian Kevin Hart - who's currently leaving audiences in stitches with his newest comedy special, "Let Me Explain" - is gearing up for yet another comedy release scheduled for early 2014.
In "Ride Along," Hart stars alongside Ice Cube as a security guard who tries to get in good with his girlfriend's brother (Ice Cube) by going on a 24-hour "ride along" patrol of Atlanta to prove that he's up to the task of marrying his sweetheart.
Plus, there are new clips for the Coen brothers' December feature, "Inside Llewyn Davis," Matt Damon's August sci-fi thriller, "Elysium," and the final trailer for Del Toro's "Pacific Rim" below. Which movie are you most looking forward to?
