Girls may love Beyoncé, but they also love Drake.
That much was proved when the rapper made a surprise visit to "American Idol" on Thursday, after a little encouragement from his labelmate and friend, Nicki Minaj.
"Idol" contender Candice Glover, who stunned viewers a few weeks ago with her performance of "Lovesong," went with a Drake cover on Wednesday.
Although the judges weren't loving her version of the rapper's song "Find Your Love," Drake did. The night after Glover's rendition, host Ryan Seacrest played for Glover what was supposed to be a recorded message from the rapper.
"I wanted to let you know that I was so honored that you sang my song, and that you did such an incredible job. You have an angelic voice, and I almost wish that you were there in the studio creating it with me, I feel like we could've brought it to life together," Drake said, in what Glover thought was a message from afar.
But then, out popped Drake, bearing hugs for the four remaining "Idol" contestants.
Drake gave Minaj full credit for his appearance, tweeting Thursday: "@NICKIMINAJ is an incredible person for setting that up. Love you always. Thank you!"
