After MTV teased us with the idea of a teaser trailer for "Hunger Games" follow-up "Catching Fire," MTV delivered something more substantial on Sunday night.
The two-and-a-half minute clip gave fans a long look at what's to bow in theaters this November, and it made up for the fact that Jennifer Lawrence was MIA from the ceremony.
The trailer reintroduces us to Lawrence's Katniss Everdeen and Josh Hutcherson's Peeta Mellark, who are now famous as victors following the 74th Hunger Games, which was the subject of the first film.
But that fame poses a threat, as Katniss has become "a beacon of hope," sparking signs of revolution.
Donald Sutherland's President Snow coldly says that Katniss "must be eliminated," and Philip Seymour Hoffman's Plutarch Heavensbee agrees that she "should die, but in the right way, at the right time."
Of course, fans of the book know that this film will plunge Katniss and Peeta back into the arena, although we didn't get a close look at that with this clip.
Yet we still have a ways to go until the movie opens November 22 - what did you think of the trailer?
