Six months after getting a glimpse of Chloë Grace Moretz as a deranged high schooler with telekinetic powers in the teaser trailer for “Carrie,” a new trailer has hit the Web.
It begins in typical horror fashion: with a shot of a quiet suburban house and a creepy hymn sounding in the background.
“In every neighborhood there is on family with a secret no one talks about,” flashes on the screen before showing scenes of Moretz’s Carrie being tormented by her peers at school.
“The other kids, they think I’m weird,” she says. “I don’t wanna be. I wanna be normal.”
Worried for her daughter, Carrie’s mom Margaret, played by Julianne Moore, tells Carrie to go to her closet and pray for forgiveness.
What ensues is a reel of action-packed scenes showcasing Carrie’s telekinetic powers.
What do you think of the trailer for Kimberly Peirce’s remake of the 1976 Stephen King adaptation?
