Will Arnett added to Michael Bay's 'TMNT'

The cast for Michael Bay's "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" reboot has found a new member.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Will Arnett has joined the live-action/CGI hybrid in one of the lead roles, although it's being kept quiet as to which he's landed.

The reboot will feature mutant turtles from an alien race rather than ones that have had a run-in with radioactive ooze, and Bay's described his version of the foursome as "tough, edgy, funny and completely loveable."

Alan Ritchson ("Smallville") will voice Raphael; Jeremy Howard ("Galaxy Quest"; "Accepted") will be Donatello; Noel Fisher ("Battle: Los Angeles") landed the role of Michaelangelo; and Pete Ploszek has the role of Leonardo.

In a fairly surprising move considering their history, Bay tapped his former "Transformers" actress Megan Fox for a lead role as well, reportedly to portray the turtles' human friend, April O'Neil.

The roles of Splinter and the villainous Shredder have yet to be filled.

Produced by Bay and directed by Jonathan Liebesman, "TMNT" is expected to power into theaters on June 6, 2014.

If Cutthroat Island and Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever had a baby,
and that baby took a dump,
it would resemble what this movie will be.
Ill weep when this comes out.

Arthur J, I've never seen a tutrle, & until I do you cant prove they're not aliens. I do picture this as Transformers with green skin instead of metal though. I expect Shia Le Boofoo to be Optim... I mean Splinter.

  8. I hope they aren't spending very much money on this movie

because fans of the original TMNT books/movies/cartoons are going to boycott the hell out of it and it's highly unlikely to attract enough new fans to break even. They should bury this turd now before they waste any more money on it.

Rotten Tomatoes may have to allow people to give reviews that go below zero...Like -3 stars...

I said it before and I'll say it again. If they're now considered mutant aliens, then why the hell call them turtles in the first place? Tutrles are not aliens.

Mediocre actors for such a beloved series....
I could PROBABLY overlook that if it was the original ooze storyline and not this "alien" crap. I get the idea of taking a different approach to the movie, given the audience of this current generation, but this is just another reboot destined for failure. Ok yeah sorry I'm done.
