Timberlake's '20/20 Experience' lands at No. 1

Justin Timberlake's comeback is official.

The singer's first album in nearly seven years, "The 20/20 Experience," has arrived at No. 1 in its first week in release.

Industry observers expected that the 32-year-old artist would have a solid debut, and his sales numbers are right in line with what was predicted, just a touch shy of a million copies sold.

All told, his debut sales came in at 968,000, and "The 20/20 Experience" also set an iTunes record as the fastest-selling album worldwide in the digital retailer's history.

Overall, reaction to the disc has been fairly positive, with critics taking note of Timberlake's more mature, less radio-friendly sound. Given that this album leaned heavily on longer, more soulful cuts, it'll be interesting to see what Timberlake does with round two - and yes, there will be another round.

The artist confirmed on the day of "The 20/20 Experience's" release last Tuesday that the second half of the album will arrive later this year.

50+ lover of good music, last track "under the deep blue sea" a gem of reflection, soundscape, and melody. The whole album feels cinematic in its restraint and respect to creating longer moments. Fresh air to ears that are bombarded by brash clips of 20 second attention grabbing these days!

Be paid weekly and earn like a boss! I just got a gorgeous Mercedes from having made $7988 this – 4 weeks past and just over ten grand last month. Without any doubt, this is the easiest work I've ever done. I began this 3 months ago and immediately made myself more than $85... per hour. This is what I do Epic2.cℴm

I'm a fan but I really wasn't all that impressed with the album. It's good but it's just not something that I would listen to often or on repeat like I do with others. I hope Part II is better!!

I love the cd. It's rocking. You don't have to be a fan of someone to enjoy their music. It's a choice.

As a long time JT fan, I have to say that I am really disappointed with this album. I feel as though Justin rushed through it just to get some new music out there. The last two albums were great the first time I listened to them, all the way through now. I don't feel as though I can ever get to that point with 20/20. Such a bummer.
