Johnny Depp lines up two new moviesWe hope you're ready to see more of Johnny Depp. The 49-year-old actor is looking beyond this summer's action release, "The Lone Ranger," and has signed on for two new projects: "Transcendence" and "Black Mass."
You've probably heard that Depp was attached to the films, but the news wasn't made official until Wednesday, Variety reports. The first up for Depp is "Transcendence," which is expected to begin filming in April, according to the Hollywood Reporter. New name Jack Paglen penned the script, which is rumored to be about a scientist whose brain is uploaded into a supercomputer he created, although official plot details are being kept quiet. Following that, Depp stars in "Black Mass" as Whitey Bulger. Directed by Barry Levinson, the biopic is inspired by the book, "Black Mass: The True Story of the Unholy Alliance Between the FBI and the Irish Mob." Depp's "Lone Ranger," which co-stars Armie Hammer, will open July 3.

I tried the Johnny Depp look once. Grew my hair out and washed it infrequently. Went for days sometimes weeks without shaving. Wore shabby-chic clothes and accessories that didn’t always match, and scuffed up old boots. I thought I looked pretty cool.
Then, every time I waited at the bus stop, people walking by would hand me their spare change.
Last Fall I tried out Depp's Tonto look for a day - buckskin pants, shirtless, white face makeup, bird hat...
While attempting to make a deposit at my bank, I was escorted out of the building by the security guard and asked to never return in that outfit. What, are they racist or something?

that he can play any role. He was originally cast to play Bella in the Twilight series, and was actually on set for nearly a week before being replaced by Kristen Stewart. He just wasn't believable enough as a moody, shallow, mopey teenage girl.

Johnny Depp is from Miramar, Florida....not Kentucky
Depp was born and raised primarily in KY but he moved around a lot with his family. He said so himself in his "Inside Actor's Studio" interview.
Kentuckians are jammed so far up Hollywood's rear it's astonishing. While you're thinking your statement through, consider politics as well. Like mercenaries for the good of the universe (or maybe the end of the universe...Rand....Mitch), you will find Blurgrass calling the shots. Don't check Wikipedia, they conceal them. I once loved a man and will love him forever whom my friends thought was very unattractive. I loved him for reasons other than looks (and no he had no money either). But Johnny Depp is extremely handsome, good to his mother, a talented musician and actor and lives life well. So cat away, boys, while we all look forward with delight to his next ventures. Ah, but I do have to say the fourth Pirates was sooooo disappointing, with the fang-and-claw mermaids and especially the friggin missionary boy. No wonder Johnny kept his head down for the whole movie until it ended!!
Actually, I believe he got his start in Nightmare on Elm Street. Never seen so much blood in a kid... Kicking Depp Out sounds like a good name for an alternative rock group. I think I'm gonna start one now & tour with Big Shiz. It'll be a Detroit empty parking lot tour & we'll make ones of dollars. HearingGirl will get credit on my 1st album.

He's a great actor, truly one of the best ever, and he's in incredible shape for someone his age. I love him as Capt. Jack Sparrow, and hope he can keep making those movies. Four of them, and all were fantastic. His and Benito's performances in "Fear and Loathing" deserved Oscar's. Prudish reviewers kept that movie from getting the respect it deserved. He actually lived with Hunter Thompson to prepare for that role, and he captured his essence perfectly, and in about every state of enebration possible, and then some. He's a good guy. Haters are just jealous. I don't tend to idolize actors or musicians, but Depp earns my fullest respect.
