Jennifer Lawrence explains her Oscars fallIf only Jennifer Lawrence could host next year's show, because the "Hunger Games" actress is obviously quick on her feet. After tripping over her Dior gown on her way to accept the best actress Oscar on Sunday, the 22-year-old "Silver Linings Playbook" winner swiftly recovered.
"You guys are just standing up because you feel bad that I fell and that's really embarrassing but thank you," Lawrence said when she made it to the Oscars podium. "This is nuts!" Backstage, she gave press the full story: "What do you mean what happened? Look at my dress," she said when a journalist asked about her stumble. "I tried to walk up stairs in this dress. That's what happened. I don't actually - I think I just stepped on the fabric and they waxed the stairs." As for what she was thinking when she tripped, the ever-candid actress deadpanned, "A bad word that I can't say that starts with 'F.'" It had been a harried day for Lawrence, who said on the red carpet that she'd been so busy getting ready along with her family she didn't have time to eat. "The process today was so stressful," she said backstage. "It was kind of fun, but it was mostly chaotic, yeah. ... [W]hat was the process? Oh, I don't know ... I just woke up and tried on a dress, and it fit, thank God, and then I took a shower and then I got my hair and makeup done, and then I came to the Oscars," she concluded, suddenly switching into an accent. "I'm sorry," she laughed. "I did a shot before."

Quvenzhané needs some loving discipline – came across as a bit of brat.
It's so refreshing to see a young person enjoying themselves and still maintaining that innocence. I pray she stays grounded and continue having fun in a good way congrads.

A shot on a empty stomach, and a massive dress. She's lucky she didn't fall on her face! Congrats to her winning the Oscar.

I bet they pay her a hellava lot more to continue in the Hunger games sequels – she is awesome, so down to earth with a great sense of humor. I have not seen the movie she won the Oscar for, but maybe I will check it out this weekend....
I just love Jennifer Lawrence so much. She is so talented and seems like she would be fun to hang out with. She seemed very genuine when she accepted her Oscar. Unlike Anne Hathaway, whose acceptance speech could not have been more contrived and practiced.
I can't wait to see more of her (hopefully with B. Cooper, too).

Sometimes all of us fall. It's ok. She won so really shouldn't embarised. I really wish the 9 year old would have won – that would have been something. Oh well.
Jennifer Lawrence is just the most beautiful and cute little girl to me. She also seems so human because everything that she does is not perfect. I guess ai am just her biggest fan but all of my friends agree that she is our favorite.
