While we wait to see what becomes of NBC's "Up All Night," one of the series' stars is picking up work at CBS.
According to TV Guide, Will Arnett has landed the lead in an untitled pilot sitcom from Greg Garcia.
Arnett, 37, will play a recently divorced fellow named Jack, whose life gets complicated when his parents have marital problems of their own.
With Arnett landing pilot work, it's unclear how this will affect the future of "Up All Night," which was reportedly being revamped. Christina Applegate, who starred with Arnett as a party-ready couple adjusting to parenthood, announced her departure from the show earlier this month.
“It’s been a great experience working on 'Up All Night,' but the show has taken a different creative direction and I decided it was best for me to move on to other endeavors," Applegate said in a statement. "Working with Lorne Michaels has been a dream come true and I am grateful he brought me into his TV family. I will miss the cast, producers and crew, and wish them the best always.”
