John Mayer owns up to jerky pastJohn Mayer's now known for playing charity concerts and dating Katy Perry, but it wasn't that long ago that he was ticking people off left and right. In 2010, you couldn't turn around without hearing a new Mayer quotable about his ex-girlfriends Jennifer Aniston and Jessica Simpson, or how he thinks his nether region is a lot like a white supremacist.
He's already apologized for those words, and, after health problems silenced him for a long while, Mayer is telling "CBS Sunday Morning" that he fully owns that past. "I was just a jerk," Mayer says in the interview airing this weekend, noting that he's changed since his loose-lipped younger years. Now 35, Mayer's learned the lesson we all figure out at one point: you can't always be liked. “It’s very liberating when you finally realize it’s impossible," he said. “I wanted everybody to like me. I thought I was one shuck and jive away in every direction.” The full interview will air at 9 a.m. on CBS February 10.

John Mayer is the same rude person, no likeable at all, he can't sing to save his life and he is a bore.
I think we all had a phase in our lives that we wanted to be liked by everyone. It's easy to remember a few stupid things I've said in the past too..trying to be funny/witty. Ok John..don't mess up again. He looks very happy with Katy. I wish him well.
Is John Mayer really worth all the hype? Never was.

You can't start calling it the past when it is still happening and those comments were not even that long ago...kinda like how some artists release a "best of" album when they've only been out for a couple years. He's still an ass and women are still going to fall for him regardless. Nothing has changed and nothing is going to change...honestly, why should it?
