Amazon casts two leads in 'Zombieland' pilotWhat was once a mere cult classic is now a potential new series for Amazon.com. Amazon Studios is at work on a pilot episode of "Zombieland," based on the 2009 film, and according to Deadline two of the show's lead characters have been cast.
If you caught the movie, you know that it centers on four humans trying to make it in a zombie apocalypse: the "nerdy handsome" narrator Columbus is on a mission to find his family in Ohio along with a man named Tallahassee and two sisters, Wichita and Little Rock. Portrayed by Jesse Eisenberg in the film, the role of Columbus has gone to Tyler Ross, who made a name for himself at Sundance as the star of a dark comedy called "Milkshake." The scrappy Little Rock, played by Abigail Breslin on the big screen, has gone to Izabela Vidovic. Amazon Studios is working with Sony Television on the half-hour comedy, which has "Zombieland" writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick adapting this for a series. They're also executive producing with "Zombieland" producer Gavin Polone. |

Why would they need to base it off the movie when the movie is based on a 24ep script that abc had sitting in the basement for years and years?
enjoy your day...ear girl...i'm starving
backfired–gee then she can's figure out why she can't handle the show...sheesh
i would not worry about her.
business as usual and all the friends down the road.....desperado attempt
wrong computer wifey
Meh...
They shouldn't have used the same characters. They're too memorable. They should have just created new characters existing in the same fictional world.
is he here?
we got you - like i got you on the last teli's...
I'm not a big fan of comedies. Only half hour shows I watch are Storage Wars and Pawn Stars. Guess I'll be missing this.
YAAAAAAAAAY ! We all mostly think it sounds like a dumb idea. Maybe embiciles will watch it.

I would definately watch this show so I guess that makes me an imbecile. Cartman if you're going to try to insult people, the least you can do is get the spelling correct, MORON!
love that city...
A 1/2 hr zombie comedy? Ok. (shrugging shoulders)
The series is still in the casting phase. It hasn't been picked up by any network and most likely will not be. Don't worry.
don't worry
It's spelled imbecile and it does sound like a zero series. I give it 6 episodes before being gone. I'm being very kind with the 6.
I agree with you Big Bird. Zombies are cool. This series sounds lame though. And embicillic.
not to everyone else....its perfectly fine and the daily norm
I live zombies but this sounds pretty p oooopy and embicillic. And dum.
