After she picked up two Golden Globes for the network in January, Lena Dunham is eyeing a new comedy concept for HBO.
According to Deadline, the home of Dunham's "Girls" has optioned a memoir from fashion insider Betty Halbreich called "All Dressed Up and Everywhere To Go," about Halbreich's work as a personal shopper at Bergdorf Goodman.
"Girls" creator/executive producer/star Dunham is on deck to write a show based on the book, which aims to inspire women from a variety of backgrounds and give a look inside the world of high fashion, along with fellow "Girls" EP Jenni Konner.
At 85, Halbreich is still providing her personal shopping service, where she's served some of New York's elite as well as famous names like Meryl Streep, Glenn Close and Sarah Jessica Parker. Halbreich, who hails from Chicago, has been described as "part Angela Lansbury and part Lucille Ball." The TV concept from Konner and Dunham would focus on her life as a personal shopper.
