Amy Poehler's going to let you read her diary

Leave it to Amy Poehler to write a memoir that sounds nothing like the typical tome.

The "Parks and Recreation" star, 41, is set to publish an "illustrated, non-linear diary" via HarperCollins' It Books imprint.

Poehler wanted the book to be universal in appeal but also a guide for young women as they transition to adulthood.

We can expect the book - scratch that, non-linear diary - to be "full of humor and honesty and brimming with true stories, fictional anecdotes and life lessons."

“When I first talked to Amy about a book I was blown away by her creativity and her passion for the project. I am now so excited to be working with her and making her ideas a reality,” Executive Editor Carrie Thornton said in a statement. “Amy’s intelligence, comedic genius, and care for her craft shines through everything she does, and I know that this book will be no exception. To have the chance to work with an artist of this caliber is every editor’s great hope, and I can’t wait to see how this book evolves.”

Poehler's book is tentatively scheduled to arrive in the fall of 2014.

I'd nail her, but then, I'm not picky.
