Morrissey pulls out of performances due to ulcer

Some of Morrissey's stateside fans will have to wait to see the singer live, as he's postponed upcoming performances due to a bleeding ulcer, a rep for the singer told CNN.

According to Billboard, Morrissey was hospitalized in Royal Oak, Michigan over the weekend for a suspected bladder infection. He had to cancel a January 24 show in Flint, Michigan, which itself was a rescheduled performance. In October, Morrissey had to pause his trek to spend time with his mother in the hospital.

The singer now has to shuffle his performance calendar once again, as he was diagnosed with a bleeding ulcer after being treated at an area hospital this weekend, his rep said in a statement.

As a result, his upcoming appearances in Asheville, NC; Nashville, TN; Atlanta, GA; Lawrence, KS; Clear Lake, IA; and Lincoln, NE will have to be rescheduled. Those who purchased tickets should hang on to them, as new concert dates should be announced in coming days.

"Morrissey is expected to make a full recovery, and thanks everyone concerned for their support during this time," his rep said in a statement. "The tour will resume in Las Vegas on Saturday, February 9 ... Morrissey apologizes greatly for any and all inconvenience and looks forward to continuing his US tour.”
