The awards were nicely shared among the frontrunners this awards season, with Ben Affleck's "Argo" once again proving to be a top contender by taking home the award for outstanding performance by a cast in a motion picture.

Season of Awards
Should have won.
I agreed with most of the winners last night except for Claire Danes! Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series clearly should have gone to Jessica lang for American Horror story the women if amazing and runs cirles around the other nominees.
I agree. Jessica Lange should've won. Her role in American Horror Story was well played.
Julianne Moore continuing to win for "Game Change" is ridiculous. She is only winning because Hollywood hates Sarah Palin. I tried watching that POS and it was pathetcially and blatantly biased. I don't casre either way for Palin, but seriously get a grip Hollywood.
Steve Schmidt and Nicole Wallace said the movie was accurate. Steve Schmidt ran McCain's campaign, and Wallace was Palin's handler. Wallace said that she couldn't even vote for McCain, because Palin was SO unqualified to be VP. She said it was the first time in her life that she didn't even vote. Now Ken, would you be a republican, because you must be a Palin lover and probably a teabagger, too. I don't even think Palin is qualified to be a mother, let alone any kind of government official or spokes person. I know the faux news folks just love her. Although, not much intelligence on that "news" station anyway.
To "Well, Ken": thanks for letting your childish maturity level show by calling me a "teabagger." You're obivously not much of a reader because I stated that I don't care for Palin either way. I reported you for abuse.
Weren't you the one who said "I tried to watch that POS and it was pathetically and blatantly biased". I was just reporting to you what I heard Schmidt and Wallace say with my own two ears. Ok, I'll take back the teabagger remark, but obviously you are the biased person here. Hey, report me for abuse, you have every right. Cnn reads them. There was nothing abusive there, except that it might of hurt your feelings. I was just throwing some facts out there.
Since you only "tried" to watch it you can hardly judge it. Julliane Moore was phenomenal in the role and I came away from it with a far greater understanding and compassion for Sarah Palin, what she went through and what she accomplished than I did before seeing it. I am still no fan of the woman, but I don't have the animosity I used to feel towards her after seeing the movie.
Looks like you are the childish person for being a tattle tale and reporting abuse on something that wasn't abusive or offensive. If you didn't watch Game Change then you probably shouldn't voice opinions about it. You may have missed the meaning on the teabagger comment by the way.
Why do statues have to be nekkkked?
Once upon a time there were 3 bears. A mama one and a dad one and a little baby one. One day they took naps and had good snacks and lived happily ever after.
Who cares ?
I do. That's my friend blogging.
i'm still here...
when you need to know something just come forth and ask the personal touch is so much easier.
your a sad person...have a coke.
with the golden globes was great.
I am so fascinated with Homeland. It's an amazing show with amazing cinematography, amazing scripting, amazing plot lines, and amazing acting, including Claire Danes. It is surprising how many good actors and actresses are on Showtime originals these days.
you relayed all wrong information too him...see why gags is a putz...
I don't see the fascination with Homeland. It's a terrible show with terrible cinematography, terrible scripting, terrible plot lines, and terrible acting, including Claire Danes. She must have been desperate for work or something.
Get all family prescripts..
Frankly, who cares??!!
Meh on all choices.
Yet another self-congratulatory, self-absorbed, award show for Hollywood. Pats back with own hand.
Good insight. How dare the union of actors and performers congratulate themselves? Its that same elitism that lets sports players think to name an MVP, or schools to name their own teacher of the year. I don't know how they don't break their arms with all that patting.
Boardwalk Empire was robbed !!!
SouthLAnd, especially Regina King, deserve serious recognition. Not to knock Homeland or Breaking Bad, Claire Danes or Bryan Cranston, but c'mon... SouthLAnd and its ensemble are extraordinary.
Could someone explain how a movie that received no award for individual acting could receive the award for ensemble acting? Lincoln won both the male acting awards. Argo is getting picked because his peers want to help Ben Affleck. What a dishonesty and injustice.
An ensemble cast is made up of cast members in which the principal actors and performers are assigned roughly equal amounts of importance and screen time in a dramatic production. This contrasts with productions which develop and focus on certain main characters more than others. 'The Towering Inferno', 'The Usual Suspects', 'Glengarry Glen Ross', and most certainly 'Argo' are prime examples.
